Sonbhadra (UP), Nov. 11 -- A 25-year-old youth was on Tuesday sentenced to 20 years of rigorous imprisonment and a fine of Rs 20,000 by a local court in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh for raping a seven-year-old girl about four and a half years ago, prosecution sources said here.
Prosecution sources said that the victim's mother, a resident of Rampur Barkonia police station area, had alleged in her complaint that on May 21, 2021, Chhote, a resident of Rampur Barkonia police station, Sonbhadra district, raped her six-year-old daughter and fled after threatening to kill her if she complained.
