Thrissur, Aug. 25 -- In a daring rescue operation, the fire brigage brought down a youth who was trying to jump to his death from atop a two-storey building in the heart of the city.
The youth, said to be mentally unstable, climbed atop the building near the KSRTC stand and threatened to jump. Local police tried to pacify him, but no amount of persuasion could succeed. They could not go near him as he threatened to attack them with stones and created a ruckus by abusing the forces in full view of the passersby.
