Lucknow, Sept. 23 -- A 22-year-old youth was battered to death in the Saadatganj area of Lucknow late yesterday night. The incident is reportedly linked to a dispute involving an affair with a girl.
The victim, Ali Abbas, a resident of Hatanur Beg locality in Saadatganj, had been in a close relationship with a young woman for the past four years. According to family members, Ali had expressed his intention to marry her. On Monday night around 1:30 am, he was invited to a meeting at her residence, allegedly to discuss this matter further.
