Bokaro, Dec. 22 -- A 24-year-old youth died during treatment after sustaining serious injuries in a road accident on National Highway-32 at Dantu village under Kasmar block of Bokaro on Monday.
Police said the accident occurred around 3 pm when Anil Marandi (24), a resident of Sonhar village under Sonpura Panchayat and son of Ratan Manjhi, met with a severe road mishap. He was rushed to a hospital in critical condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Local residents alleged that the Dantu stretch of the highway has witnessed frequent accidents, but no effective safety measures have been taken by the administration so far.
