Bhadohi (UP), May 21 -- A youth was killed and a girl was injured after being hit by a train near Kandhiya railway crossing in Chauri area of Bhadohi district here in Uttar Pradesh, Government Railway Police (GRP) sources said here on Wednesday.
GRP sources said that a couple jumped in front of a train near Kandhiya railway crossing on Varanasi-Janghai railway section in Chauri police station area of the district on Tuesday night.
"While the youth died on the spot, the girl sustained serious injuries and has been admitted to the hospital, where her condition remains critical," they said.
