Darbhanga, Dec. 20 -- A local court awarded ten years of imprisonment and also slapped fine of Rs 5.50 lakhs on him for raping a girl and making its video viral in Darbhanga district of Bihar on Saturday.
Additional District and Sessions Judge (ADJ) of Santosh Kumar Pandey sentenced a youth Gajendra Patel alias Amit Kumar to ten years of rigorous imprisonment and slapped fine of Rs 5.50 lakhs on him for raping a married girl.
The court delivered its verdict after hearing arguments of counsel of the accused and that of the prosecution. Fine of Rs 5.50 lakhs was also slapped on Patel failing which he would have to undergo additional imprisonment of two years.
