Patna, May 9 -- A youth was awarded 12 years of rigorous imprisonment after he was found guilty in a charas smuggling case.
A designated court for disposal of cases relating to violation of Prevention of Narcotics Drugs and Psychotropic
Substances (NDPS) Act, sentenced one Praveen Kumar to rigorous 12 years imprisonment. The court rejected the arguments of counsel of the accused in the case. The court also slapped a fine of Rs two lakhs on the convict, failing which he would have to undergo additional imprisonment of six months.
