Kolkata, Oct. 3 -- A blood soaked body of a young man was discovered near a wooden bridge in the 60 Colony area under Begampur Gram Panchayat in Baruipur east today morning, sparking panic among residents.
Passers-by first noticed the body lying on the road with the throat slit and immediately raised an alarm. Within moments, a large crowd gathered at the spot. A liquor bottle was found near the body, deepening suspicion.
According to locals, the stretch becomes a drinking den after dark where unfamiliar youths gather regularly, often leading to late-night brawls.
