Mumbai, Sept. 29 -- In a shocking incident, a 27-year-old youth from Panju Island died after being hit by a coconut thrown from a moving train while it was passing over the bridge connecting Thane and Palghar districts.

The victim was identified as Sanjay Dattaram Bhoir, who was walking across the railway bridge to reach Panju Island when the coconut struck him.

The railway bridge passes over Panju Island in Vasai Creek, located in the western suburbs of Mumbai, and is not connected by road.
