Bhopal, Oct. 10 -- Police officials are in a tizzy over the death of a youth in the Madhya Pradesh capital's Piplani Police Station limits after a late-night police beating captured on closed-circuit television.

The deceased has been identified as a deputy superintendent's brother-in-law, Udit Gayki. Sources said that Rajkumar Gayki's son Udit, a B Tech final year student at TIT College, was dancing with friends in Indrapuri C Sector. A patrol team reached there, stopped the youths, and beat up Udit. Video footage shows the personnel kicking, punching, and using lathis on the youth who later fainted.
