Bengaluru, Feb. 24 -- The Karnataka High Court on Tuesday cautioned actor Ranveer Singh that celebrity status exempt him from responsibility if public actions hurt religious sentiments, while staying coercive legal proceedings in the case related to mimicry of a scene from the film Kantara.

Justice M Nagaprasanna orally observed that public personalities wield significant influence and must exercise restraint in their conduct and speech during public appearances.
