Lucknow, March 23 -- The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, on Monday approved Ordinance 2026 to amend Section 80 of the Uttar Pradesh Revenue Code, 2006.
This significant decision simplifies and expedites the process of land use change in the state.
State Finance Minister Suresh Kumar Khanna stated that under the new system, separate land use change applications will no longer be required in areas under the jurisdiction of development authorities, industrial development authorities, regulated areas, and the Uttar Pradesh Housing and Development Council.
He explained that if a plot's map is approved by the relevant authority, it will be considered a valid land use change.
