Vijayawada, Nov. 10 -- The Central government has decided to set up an apex Yoga and Naturopathy Research (YNR) Institute' in Andhra Pradesh at a cost of Rs 750 crore, according to Andhra Pradesh Minister for Health Satya Kumar Yadav.

The YNR Institute would carry out its activities like AIIMS, he said, adding the institute is being established in the state by the Central Council for Research and Yoga and Naturopathy.

The Minister announced 100 seats would be made available in the Bachelor of Naturopathy and Yoga Surgery and 20 seats in the PG. A 450-bed hospital would also be constructed and made available to the research institute, he said. The YNR Institute will consist of a research and training centre, he added.
