Kolkata, June 21 -- The International Day of Yoga was celebrated across West Bengal on Saturday with participants from all walks of life performing asanas at public parks and community grounds, reaffirming the unifying power of this ancient practice.
In Kolkata, early morning yoga sessions were organised at several prominent locations, including Rabindra Sarobar, Eco Park, and the lawns near the iconic Victoria Memorial. Despite intermittent light showers in parts of the city, a large number of yoga enthusiasts, senior citizens, school students, and office-goers joined the sessions with remarkable zeal and discipline.
This year's theme, 'Yoga for One Earth, One Health', resonated widely across all events.
