Hyderabad, Nov. 14 -- A 38-year-old Yemeni national who had been living illegally in India has been apprehended and deported to prevent him from engaging in activities considered harmful to national security, a statement said.
The foreigner, Ahmed Salem Abdullah alias Ahmed Salem Fadaq, entered India on a student visa in 2017 and completed his BBA from Nizam College, Hyderabad, before moving to Ajmer for his Master's degree. His visa expired on August 31, 2024, but he continued to stay in the country without valid documents.
A police statement on Thursday said the individual later returned to Hyderabad and was residing in the Tolichowki area, where he was found associating with drug peddlers operating in Hyderabad and Ajmer.
