Ranchi, Dec. 8 -- The cold wave has tightened its grip across Jharkhand, with temperatures dipping steadily and icy winds in the mornings and evenings adding to the winter chill.

Dense morning fog and cold conditions after sunset have begun to disrupt daily life in several parts of the state.

According to the Ranchi Meteorological Centre, no major weather system is currently active over Jharkhand, resulting in dry and stable conditions. Although a western disturbance persists over northern India as a trough, it is not expected to have any direct impact on the state's weather.

While mild sunshine appears during the day, the intensified chill during early mornings and nights has become more pronounced.
