Ranchi, Dec. 25 -- Severe cold conditions have intensified across Jharkhand, significantly affecting normal life in the state.
Due to cold north-westerly winds, temperatures have continued to fall in most regions. In view of the worsening cold, the India Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for 12 districts of the state.
According to the IMD, there is no immediate relief from the cold wave over the next three days.
The Meteorological Centre Ranchi stated that active cold winds in the lower troposphere may cause a further drop of 2 to 3 degrees Celsius in minimum temperatures, with conditions likely to persist until December 27.
