Vijayapura, March 30 -- Days after his expulsion from the BJP, Karnataka MLA Basangouda Patil Yatnal on Sunday accused the party of failing to protect Hindu interests and hinted at launching a new political outfit dedicated to Hindutva.

Yatnal alleged that the state BJP had compromised its ideological core for political convenience, leaving many Hindu activists disillusioned. "Many Hindu workers have urged me to form a 'Hindu Party' as they no longer trust the BJP to safeguard their interests," he told reporters in Vijayapura.
