Yamaha restores Vadagal lake as part of its CSR initiative

Chennai, Dec. 16 -- As part of its commitment towards Environmental Sustainability, two-wheeler makers India Yamaha Motor (IYM) Pvt. Ltd. today announced the complete restoration of Vadagal Lake at Sriperumbudur,about 40 km from here, in neighbouring Kancheepuram district, and handing it over to the local administration.

The event witnessed the presence of Mr. Atsushi Nagashima, Corporate Director, IYM along with Tehsildar and team members, a company statement said.

Spanning over 13 acres, the Vadagal lake, an important natural resource for nearby villages in Sriperumbudur was abandoned foryears.
