Chennai, Dec. 17 -- Citing the recent Cyclone Ditwah that caused widespread destructionin Sri Lanka, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin today observed that the world is seeingthe effects of climate change and said thanks to vrous precuationary measures put in placeby the government, a large scale damage was averted in the State.
Taking a dig at the Centre for not releasing the disaster relief funds sought by the stategovernment, he said the union BJP government had only released Rs 4,136 crore asagainst Rs 24,679 crore sought by the state.
