Gangtok, Sept. 27 -- Chief Secretary Alok Srivastav on Friday released a handbook on Home Stays in a programme organised on the occasion of World Tourism Day here.
Mr Srivastav said travel agents, restaurant owners and their associations have been pivotal in the development of tourism industry in Sikkim.
Tourism industry contributes significantly to economy of the State.
"We don't need to reinvent or work on ideas ,we can always borrow ideas from others.We have started off Season Tourism.
A Certificate programme on Hospitality & Tourism Management by ICFAI University has been started.
