Chennai, July 26 -- Asserting that the World was seeing its growth in India's growth due to
various initiatives launched by his government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi tonight said
Infrastructure and energy are the backbone of any state's development and said the Centre
was working to modernise Tamil Nadu's infrastructure and expressed his commitment in this
regard.
"Over the last 11 years, our focus on these sectors has reflected the high priority Tamil Nadu's
development holds for us. The Union Government is working to modernise TN's infrastructure
and it is making the state's port infrastructure high-tech, while also integrating airports, highways
and roadways for seamless connectivity, he said.
