Kolkata, April 28 -- Union minister Sukanta Majumdar has claimed that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mission "Atmanirvar Bharat" India has achieved extraordinary progress in poverty reduction, employment growth, and empowerment in the country. Union Minister of State for Education and Development of Northeast region Sukant Majumdar quoting a World Bank's latest report, which lauded India's progress from 2011-12 to 2022-23, with over 17 crore (171 million) people having lifted out of extreme poverty.
