Pune, Aug. 17 -- Former Indian Army chief Manoj Naravane urged students to recognise the responsibility that comes with freedom and to contribute honestly and diligently to the nation's growth.

Speaking at a felicitation ceremony for meritorious students here, he emphasised that India must aspire to become a global superpower by 2047, and every individual must commit to working sincerely and with discipline in their chosen fields.

The event was organised by Sanskriti Pratishthan at Yashwantrao Chavan Natyagruha, Kothrud. Around 700 meritorious students were honoured. This initiative, conceptualised by Union Minister Murlidhar Mohol, has completed its 23rd year.
