Hyderabad, May 3 -- Telangana Director General of Police (DGP) Dr Jitender, urged Station House Officers (SHOs) across the state to adopt a people-friendly approach to policing and work towards earning public trust through impartial and dedicated service.
He made these remarks during an interactive session with SHOs from various units at the DGP Office on Saturday.
Drawing a comparison with policing practices in countries like the United States, Dr. Jitender shared a personal anecdote about a friend's child who associated police with friendliness and trust.
"In countries like the U.S., citizens view the police as friends. That perception should inspire us. We must work to instill similar confidence and trust among our people," he said.
