Dharamshala, Aug. 20 -- In view of a landslide near the Dharamshala Ropeway Project and considering the safety of passengers, Deputy Commissioner Kangra and Chairman of District Disaster Management Authority, Hemraj Bairwa, has ordered the immediate temporary suspension of all ropeway operations.
According to the report submitted by the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Civil), Dharamshala, a landslide occurred near pillar number 5 of the ropeway, posing a serious threat to passenger safety. Exercising powers under Sections 30 and 34 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the DC issued these precautionary orders.
