Hyderabad, April 8 -- Telangana BJP President N. Ramchander Rao on Wednesday said 33 per cent reservation for women in legislative bodies would be implemented from the 2029 general elections.
Addressing residents of Shilpa Park Apartments in Kondapur here, Rao said the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was a landmark step towards women's empowerment and greater political representation.
Clarifying the ongoing electoral processes, he said the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) is a routine exercise conducted by the Election Commission of India to update and sanitise voter lists.
