New Delhi, April 15 -- Women in large numbers gathered at Connaught Place, the heart of the city, and formed a human chain, voicing their support for women's reservation with the Nari Shakti Vandan Bill.
Led by Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva and in the presence of MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat and Bansuri Swaraj, the women also held a bike rally and took a round of Connaught Place's inner circle on bikes, and collected signatures in support of passing of the bill.
Sachdeva, while addressing the women on the occasion, said that not only Delhi, but women across the country deserve the Nari Shakti Vandan Act, which will further enable them to participate in shaping the country's policies.
