Women for trees campaign in Manipur

Imphal, June 23 -- A tree plantation campaign "Women For Trees" continued with a Tree Plantation Programme held at Kabowakching, Nambol on Monday.

The programme saw enthusiastic participation from women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) under the aegis of Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana - National Urban Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NULM), along with local residents, who actively took part in planting saplings at designated locations near Kabowakching Makha Leikai Pukhri Achouba, where a Water Body Rejuvenation Project is being undertaken under AMRUT 2.0.
