Bengaluru, March 16 -- Women members of the Congress party played a crucial role in the party's victories in Bagalkote and Davangere by-elections, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said on Monday.
Speaking at a meeting and training camp organised by the Karnataka Pradesh Mahila Congress, he credited the active participation and leadership of women for strengthening the party's outreach.
Highlighting the impact of government schemes, Siddaramaiah said programmes such as Shakti Yojana and Gruha Lakshmi Scheme have not only protected women's rights but also boosted their financial independence and social standing.
