Kolkata, Nov. 20 -- A woman suffered serious injuries after being shot at an upscale residential complex in Howrah's Shibpur area on morning.
The incident took place at the Ideal Grand complex, where the state IT minister and Trinamool MLA Babul Supriyo resides in another block.
Police said the injured woman, identified as Poonam Yadav, was first taken to a Howrah hospital and later shifted to a Kolkata facility as her condition worsened. A probe has been launched.
According to local sources, Poonam and her husband, Gopal Yadav, lived on the 15th floor of Block D of the complex.
