Gorakhpur, Feb. 26 -- A 35-year-old woman allegedly killed her three-year-old stepdaughter with an axe in Bijhara village in Pipraich area of Gorakhpur district, police said on Wednesday.
According to police, the accused woman reportedly attacked the child with an axe inside their home around 11 pm on Tuesday. The victim, identified as Aditi, was allegedly thrown to the ground before being struck on the neck with the weapon. The attack resulted in the child's death on the spot.
