Kolkata, Oct. 3 -- A woman, identified as Siddhatun Khatoon, was killed following an explosion while making crude bombs at her home in Nishintapur village, Domkol block, Murshidabad district, West Bengal, official sources said today.
Police said the explosion occurred this afternoon when the 38-year-old housewife was binding crude bombs stacked with explosive materials at her home.
The blast sent shockwaves through the locality, prompting panicked residents to rush out of their homes, only to find the body of the woman severely injured.
She was rushed to Domkol Mohokuma Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries due to excessive bleeding.
Police have arrested the deceased's husband, Gafoor Mondal, and have launched a search operation...
