Basti, March 12 -- A woman was killed by slitting her throat with a shovel by her husband in Lalganj area of Basti district here in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, a police officer said here.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) OP Singh said that Rajendra, a resident of Bhagwat Patti village, killed his wife Maya by slitting her throat with a shovel due to family dispute. "After receiving the information, the police reached the spot and took the body into custody and sent it for postmortem," he said.
