Villuppuram, Sept. 29 -- In a tragic incident, a woman was
killed and her son sustained serious injuries when a portion
of the wall in their house collapsed due to heavy rains at
Enathimangalam village in this district early this morning.
Police sources said the victims were fast asleep when the
incident occurred.
While the woman died on the spot, her son, who was trapped
under the debris, was rescued by the fire service personnel
and admitted to Villuppuram Government Medical College
hospital.
