Kolkata, July 26 -- Police have arrested a woman from Bagda in West Bengal's border district of Nadia, for allegedly sheltering and helping to get Indian identity cards for an illegal Bangladeshi national and BNP functionary Rizaul Mondal.
The accused, Sherful Mondal, was produced in a court of law later at Bongaon in North 24 Parganas district, officials said.
Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) functionary Rizaul Mondal had fled Bangladesh some 30 years ago and had taken shelter at Bagda in Nadia and got Indian identity cards, like voter, Aadhaar and other relevant documents with fake identity and started staying with Sherful Mondal.
