Mathura, Aug. 22 -- A 30-year-old woman from Punjab was found dead in a guesthouse located in the Pushpanjali Baikunth residential colony of Vrindavan.

Police said her body was found yesterday evening locked inside a staff room.

The woman, identified as Sunita Rani, daughter of Balveer from Chhandankheda village in Fazilka district of Punjab, had been brought to the guesthouse four days ago by the manager, who is absconding.

The guesthouse is owned by Ashok Kumar, a resident of Delhi, and was being managed by 38-year-old Sunil, a native of Jhunjhunu, Rajasthan. The temple located on the ground floor of the guesthouse is maintained by priest Raghvendra from Agra.
