Lalitpur, Dec. 25 -- A 46-year-old woman died allegedly by suicide following an alleged dispute with a neighbour in Lalitpur today, police said.
The incident took place in the Govind Nagar area under Kotwali Sadar police station limits.
The deceased has been identified as Raisa, wife of late Shaukat Khan and a resident of the Kashiram Colony.
According to police, Raisa's son, Sadiq, returned home from the market in afternoon and found the room locked from inside. With the help of neighbours, he broke open the door and found his mother's body hanging from the ceiling.
He and the neighbours took her down and rushed her to the district hospital for treatment, where doctors declared her dead after examination.
