Aligarh, Nov. 29 -- A 28-year-old woman constable, Hemlata, was found hanging from a window in her rented accommodation in the Banna Devi area today around 12 PM.
A neighbour, Mukti Sharma, spotted her and immediately informed the police.
Hemlata, a 2016-batch constable from Kiraoli in Agra, was posted at Rorawar police station. She was rushed to the district hospital, where doctors declared her dead.
"She was very simple and spoke politely. We never saw anyone visiting her room," neighbour Sharma said. Her landlord, Narendra Vishnoi, is also a police personnel.
