Kozhikode, Dec. 5 -- Close on the heels of Sister Lucy Kalappurakkal, a former nun of a convent in Mananthavady in Wayanad, publishing a book on the sexual abuses by priests, a housewife in Malaparamba near here has come out with a complaint of alleged rape by a priest.
In a complaint to the Chevayur police here on Wednesday, the woman has alleged that the priest and former Vikar of Nithyasahaya Church Fr. Manoj Plakkoottam had allegedly raped her in 2017 and has been blackmailing her since then.
The complaint said Plakkoottam is a close friend of her husband and has been visiting her house on the pretext of helping her but he allegedly raped her.
