Kolkata, Nov. 21 -- A woman Booth Level Officer (BLO) in Hooghly district fell seriously ill while distributing voter-list revision forms and was later relieved from her duties in the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in West Bengal.
The BLO, identified as Tapati Biswas, suffered a cerebral attack yesterday afternoon in Konnagar while distributing enumeration forms.
She was immediately admitted to Konnagar Municipality Hospital, where doctors confirmed bleeding in the brain and numbness on the left side of her body.
Tapati Biswas, around 60 years old, is an Anganwadi worker and a resident of Nabagram under Konnagar Municipality.
She had been serving as the BLO for Booth No. 279 of the Uttarpara Assembly constituency.
