Beed (Maharashtra), July 16 -- A woman collapsed outside the Beed Superintendent of Police office today following a volatile confrontation where she and family members attempted self-immolation.

The incident involved Dnyaneshwari Munde, widow of murdered Parli businessman Mahadev Munde, who was protesting with relatives demanding arrest of culprits in the eighteen-month-old unsolved murder case.

During the protest, the family produced petrol bottles and threatened self-immolation while chanting "Give us justice." Officers confiscated two fuel containers during the physical altercation that ensued.
