Azamgarh, Oct. 22 -- A woman and her nephew died after coming into contact with a live electrical wire while working in the fields in the Deehwa Tiraudhi village under the Tahbarpur police station area of Azamgarh district.
According to police reports, the incident took place this afternoon. Dhairaj (19) and his aunt Rajni (41), residents of Deehwa Tiraudhi, were sowing potatoes in a field when the incident occurred.
Adjacent to their field, a high-voltage 11,000-volt electric line had allegedly been illegally tapped and connected directly to the field owned by a man named Lalmuni.
