Srinagar, Jan. 1 -- Police in Jammu and Kashmir's Ganderbal district arrested two alleged terror associates, including a woman, and recovered arms, ammunition and Rs 8.4 lakh in cash during a late-evening operation.
Police said acting on specific intelligence, a police team from Ganderbal in coordination with the Special Operations Group (SOG) intercepted a load carrier during naka checking near Gundrehman Bridge. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of one Chinese pistol, one pistol magazine, four pistol rounds, two hand grenades and cash amounting to Rs 8,40,500.
The arrested accused were identified as Ghulam Nabi Mir of Hajin, Bandipora and Shabnum Nazir of Shalabugh, Ganderbal.
