Chhapra, Oct. 22 -- A woman and her three children died after she along with them jumped into a pond at Nawada Mathia village under Kopa police station area in Saran district today.
Police said one Savita Devi (30), a brick kiln worker, along with her children Simran Kumari (7), Ganesh Kumar (4) and Shatrughan Kumar (2) drowned in the pond after the woman took the extreme step. The bodies were fished out from the pond with the help of local divers.
Police said the bodies had been sent to Chhapra Sadar Hospital for autopsy. Further investigation was on, police added.
