Guwahati, Oct. 29 -- South Africa skipper Laura Wolvaardt etched her name in World Cup history with a record-breaking 169-run masterclass against England in the 2025 Women's World Cup semifinal - the highest individual score by a South African in World Cup history and the second-highest ever by a captain in the tournament's history.

Wolvaardt's 169, a display of grace and grit, stands only behind Australia's Belinda Clark's unbeaten 229 against Denmark in the 1997 World Cup.
