Kolkata, March 14 -- : Without naming Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday came down heavily on her at the Brigade Parade Ground, accusing her of taking a partisan stand towards a particular community and fostering a politics of fear in West Bengal.
"They are threatening people that a community will destroy you. Sitting on a constitutional post, how can one say this?" Modi said in his speech.
"They are saying that they will kill crores of Bengalis. Who are those people who, under the instruction of the TMC, will kill crores of people? They have created a culture of threat across the state," he said.
