Chennai, Feb. 17 -- The Interim Budget presented in the Tamil Nadu Assembly onTuesday by Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu said plans are afoot to generate100 billion units of Renewable GreenEnergy taking into account that the state's powerdemand was expected to get doubled in the coming years.
The Minister said bBased on an assessment that Tamil Nadu's power demand willdouble in the coming years, as compared to the current levels, new plans are beingformulated to generate 100 billion units of renewable green energy.
