Guwahati, March 11 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah will undertake visits to poll-bound Assam this week, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said on Tuesday.
Modi will embark on a two-day trip to Assam on March 13 and visit Kokrajhar, Guwahati and Silchar. Shah is scheduled to visit the state on March 15, Sarma told the media after a cabinet meeting.
"The Prime Minister will arrive in Kokrajhar on March 13 around 2 pm. He is scheduled to lay the foundation stone of a rail coach making facility at Basbari. After the foundation laying ceremony, the Prime Minister will inaugurate several new projects and dedicate to the nation several projects including bridges and launch the service of three new trains," Sarna said...
