New Delhi, Oct. 10 -- West Indies players wore black armbands on the opening day of the second Test against India at the Arun Jaitley Stadium here, as a mark of respect to former allrounder Bernard Julien, who passed away last week.

Julien, who was a member of the Clive Lloyd-led team that lifted the inaugural ICC Men's World Cup in 1975, represented the West Indies in 24 Tests and 12 ODIs between 1973 and 1977. The left-arm pacer and middle-order batsman took 50 wickets and scored 866 runs in Tests, besides claiming 18 wickets and scoring 86 runs in ODIs.
